Microsoft to release early Vista Service Pack -1

Microsoft announced plans to release the Vista Service Pack 1 by end of this year. There was speculation on weather Microsoft will deviate from its regular practice of massive Operating system updates in the form of Service Packs.

Such an early release seems like an effort to convince Enterprise Customers. Enterprise adoption of Vista has been dismal. Most are apprehensive about the software and hardware compatibility issues and security. SP1 release should help reinforce and accelerate Enterprise Migration plans to the new Vista platform.
